About this Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Pricing Director to drive pricing optimization across both existing customers (backbook) and new business (frontbook). This role aims to maximize revenue, enhance margins, and support product and solution development initiatives through data-driven pricing strategies.

Responsibilities

Backbook Pricing Optimization

  • Conduct comprehensive backbook analysis to identify underpriced customers and revenue leakage
  • Develop and execute systematic price increase strategies for existing customers.
  • Segment existing customers by profitability, retention risk, and price sensitivity.
  • Design renewal pricing strategies to maximize customer lifetime value while minimizing churn.
  • Implement price optimization algorithms for contract renewals and repricing cycles.
  • Develop communication strategies for price increase rollouts.

Frontbook Revenue Maximization

  • Establish competitive frontbook pricing that captures maximum market value
  • Develop value-based pricing models for new customer acquisition
  • Create dynamic pricing frameworks that respond to market conditions and demand signals
  • Design promotional pricing strategies that drive acquisition without eroding long-term value
  • Optimize pricing for different customer segments, channels, and geographic markets
  • Commercial Excellence

  • Partner with sales leadership to optimize deal pricing and approval processes
  • Create pricing tools and guardrails that enable sales teams while protecting margins
  • Design incentive structures that align sales behavior with pricing objectives
  • Establish pricing governance framework with appropriate escalation processes
  • Train commercial teams on value selling
  • Market & Competitive Strategy

  • Monitor competitive pricing moves and develop response strategies
  • Conduct win / loss analysis to optimize pricing competitiveness
  • Analyze market positioning to identify premium pricing opportunities
  • Assess pricing implications of product / service enhancements and new offerings
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related fields.
  • 5+ years of experience in pricing, revenue management, or commercial finance.
  • Proven track record of delivering revenue / margin improvements through pricing strategies.
  • Experience in high-growth or fast-paced environments.
  • Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and pricing analytics tools.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to balance growth and profitability objectives.
