As an Account, you will maintain financial records and ensure that financial transactions are properly recorded. You will ensure the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger. You will prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports.
Responsibilities :
- Create and send out invoices and statements to customers.
- Follow up on overdue payments and resolve any billing issues.
- Prepare, post, verify, and record customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
- Update and maintain customer files and accounting records.
- Generate regular reports to summarize the status of customer accounts and outstanding receivables.
- Assist in month-end closing procedures and reconciliations.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline billing and collection processes.
- Respond to inquiries from customers regarding their accounts in a timely and professional manner.
- Process credit memos and refunds as required.
Qualifications :
Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field required1 year required, 3 years preferred of accounting experience1 year of working knowledge of Oracle financials module experience is preferredFederal, state, and local laws, codes and regulationsAccounting theory, and application principles and practicesPrinciples and practices of financial record keeping and reportingAnalyze and interpret complex financial and statistical dataResearch and analyze varieties of informationOperate various office equipment, including computers and adding machinesPrepare, examine and verify financial documents reportsEstablish and maintain cooperative working relationshipsStrong verbal and written communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Excel and AccessAbility to multi-task and meet deadlines
