Job description

Step into the role of APAC Loan Servicing AVP at Barclays in Singapore, where you will be accountable for the operational oversight of all load transactions within the Asia Business division. You will ensure compliance with internal and external requirements and engage extensively with stakeholders across various functions, building and maintaining relationships with leaders and teams. As a subject matter expert, you will contribute to team performance by maintaining flexibility, supporting continuous improvement, and facilitating audit activities, external controls, and checks. Your expertise in Lending processes, products, and activities—including pre-sanction conditions, monitoring, controls, and documentation—will be essential.

Requirements

Experience in loan servicing / settlement processes (drawdowns, rollovers, payments)
Strong understanding of the loan business, including distressed loans
Excellent communication skills; ability to articulate ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Experience managing stakeholders, with strong negotiation and influence skills; domain knowledge of Lending Products and services
Excellent analytical skills with high accuracy and attention to detail; ability to perform impact assessments and data analysis

Purpose of the role

To support Wholesale Lending with daily processing, review, reporting, trading, and issue resolution activities.

Accountabilities

Support daily Wholesale Lending initiatives, including processing, reviewing, reporting, trading, and resolving issues using technical expertise

Monitor lending operations to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and regulatory compliance

Collaborate across teams to align and optimize processes

Identify improvement opportunities and recommend changes to processes

Develop and implement procedures and controls to mitigate risks and enhance operational efficiency

Create reports and presentations on performance metrics for senior stakeholders

Stay informed on industry trends to adopt best practices

Participate in projects aimed at improving efficiency and effectiveness

AVP Expectations
