Job description

Job purpose

  • Support the Centre Head and department in implementing strategies, policies, and procedures for effective centre operations
  • Assist in the day-to-day coordination of centre activities to ensure smooth functioning.
  • Collaborate with the Centre Head to deliver placemaking initiatives that strengthen tenant and stakeholder engagement.
  • Work with internal teams and stakeholders to plan and execute community and tenant engagement programmes, including annual signature events such as AUAF, GAC Open House, and A Date with Tradition.

Duties and responsibilities

1. Centre Operations & Management

  • Work with other departments, where required, to develop and implement standard operating policies and procedures across operational areas, ensuring consistency and operational efficiency.
  • Support the Centre Head and collaborate with Facilities Management (FM) to ensure all CAPEX projects are delivered on time and completed to the highest standards of quality and satisfaction.
  • 2. Budget and Cost Management

  • Support the Centre Head and work with Facilities Management (FM) in the planning and development of future CAPEX projects and cyclical replacements in GAC.
  • Monitor and follow-up on arts tenants arrears in a timely manner.
  • 3. Tenants' Management & Engagement

  • Establish and maintain good relations with tenants, hirers and other stakeholders.
  • Support Centre Head to ensure GAC tenants' requirements are attended to and met to facilitate the smooth running of their operations
  • Support Centre Head to implement placemaking initiatives with emphasis on deepening engagement with tenants and stakeholders to build a robust community within and across the centres.
  • Ensure all required reports, evaluations and engagements to be done with arts tenants in relation to arts tenancies are completed and submitted / reported back up to NAC in a timely manner.
  • 4. Programming

  • Work with internal teams and stakeholders to plan and execute community and tenant engagement programmes, including annual signature events such as AUAF, GAC Open House, and A Date with Tradition.
  • 5. Others

  • Perform any other duties from time to time as assigned by the HOD and the management
  • Qualifications

    Education

  • Min. Diploma or Degree holder
  • Experience

  • Has experience in placemaking or centre management
  • Has experience in dealing with artists, tenants and external stakeholders
  • Skills

  • Dynamic team player with positive disposition
  • Strong interpersonal skills to manage the interests of the various internal and external stakeholders
