We’re on the lookout for a Senior Business Development Manager to join our Marketplace team in Singapore. This role is based in Singapore and reports directly to the Sales Lead.
Responsibilities :
As a Senior Business Development Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving growth across our marketplace by :
- Leading the execution of strategic sales plans to onboard new vendors to the foodpanda platform.
- Introducing foodpanda’s suite of services and solutions to prospective partners through both in-person and virtual meetings.
- Building and managing a robust sales pipeline, identifying new business opportunities through proactive outreach and market research.
- Negotiating and closing high-value deals with key partners across the F&B, FMCG, and retail sectors.
- Ensuring a seamless handover to the Vendor Onboarding team and supporting activation efforts for newly signed accounts.
- Gathering and analyzing market insights to identify emerging trends, competitor activities, and opportunities for growth.
- Collaborating cross-functionally with internal teams including Marketing, Operations, and Account Management to ensure exceptional partner experiences.
Qualifications
What you need to be successful
4-5 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or partnership roles—preferably within F&B, retail, or FMCG industries.Proven track record of consistently closing deals and exceeding sales targets.Strong communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels.Self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment.Excellent negotiation, presentation, and analytical skills.Experience using Salesforce or other CRM tools is a plus.Bonus : Experience in selling tech or software solutions to businesses.
