Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing and providing assessment of relevant public policies and the ensuing opportunities for Temasek and our ecosystem. He / she will work with the Director to manage Temasek's public policy positions across various domain areas. In addition, the successful candidate will work with the Director to develop and drive stakeholder engagement strategies, as well as take the lead in executing and managing policy engagements in focus domain areas. He / she is responsible for fostering strategic partnerships with key stakeholders and translating policy engagements into tangiblemercial oues to advance the progress of projects by Temasek and our ecosystem.
He / she will also plan, organise, and manage SGM's various stakeholder engagement platforms, in support of the objective to expand and enhance our collaborations with key stakeholders in Singapore. In this role, the candidate must be able to work effectively with various teams, including our Investment, Portfolio Development and Emerging Technologies Groups to represent thepany's positions on a multitude of policy issues. The successful candidate should possess a deep interest and ability to understand how politics, business, finance, sustainability, technology and innovation, workforce, as well as international relations, are interconnected. These are pertinent issues that have an impact on our projects and initiatives.
- Identify and map key policy stakeholders (including political office holders,ernment officials / regulators, and trade unions) relevant to Temasek's projects, particularly in the energy transition, sustainability, resilience and digital space
- Develop and lead engagement strategies to reach out and build strategic relationships with key stakeholders to strengthen Temasek's network of partners
- Track, monitor, and provide an assessment of strategic policy issues that are relevant to Temasek's ecosystem
- Develop and lead workstreams for cross-cutting projects / issues involving multiple teams across the organisation
- Drive internal / external meetings platforms
- Lead in the planning, organisation, and management of engagement and networking platforms
Requirements
Degree in International Relations, Public Policy, Law, Business Management, Economics or a related field8 - 10 years of relevant experience working inernment relations or public policy, with good knowledge of protocol managementStrong policy network in Singapore, with a demonstrated ability to effectively andfortably interact at senior corporate / political levelsTrack record of effectively solvingplex issues and delivering strong resultsKeen interest in translating policy / regulatory engagements into tangiblemercial ouesExposure to strategy work within aernment agency or corporate would be advantageousStrong analytical, presentation (written and oral), and project management skillsAbility to multi-task and have exception attention to detail while operating in a fast-paced and dynamic environmentExcellent interpersonal skillsJob ID 823286902A0
