The EDC branch office in Singapore serves as a hub for the Indo Pacific region. The branch allows us to support our Indo Pacific and Canadian customers more effectively as they go, grow and succeed internationally.

Overview

In this role, the Regional Manager will support our Chief Representatives and Global Trade Directors in the development of a trust-based partnering relationship with key accounts across the region. This will lead to a deep understanding of the company’s current business and evolving needs, particularly related to Business Connections opportunities. The role of the Regional Manager is primarily to support the team to meet the needs of these relationships and to liaise with dedicated virtual account teams composed of product, service and knowledge specialists who have shared responsibility for the development and implementation of strategies to expand each relationship.

What you will be doing :

Relationship Management

  • Support the team in meeting the needs of the key strategic relationships
  • Responsible for coordinating and supporting EDC’s Customer Onboarding process of existing customers as well as new prospect relationships
  • Assist in developing Engagement Plans and related strategies to expand account relationships as well as leveraging product, service, connections and knowledge experts

Relationship Development

  • Responsible for supporting with identifying, researching and screening potential targets for further consideration of developing a strategic relationship for the benefit of the Canadian ecosystem.
  • Support the preparation of materials for engagement initiatives and meetings designed to expand our portfolio of key strategic relationships
  • Contributes to delivering top tier client coverage, origination, and relationship management.
  • Responsible for supporting with preparation of internal and external communication regarding the relationship, and ad hoc reporting, eg Briefs, as necessary
  • Strategy and Operations

  • Build and maintain deep knowledge of clients' business, relevant sectors, and industry
  • Maintain team data sources to be able to conduct ongoing data analytics
  • Responsible for updating business reports, dashboards, forecasts and contributing to business planning process
  • Execute projects, drive initiatives and tasks related to the fulfillment of client engagement plans
  • Ensures client data and information is accurate in all EDC systems.
  • Work collaboratively with EDC teams for the benefit of delivering value to our strategic relationships
  • Identify and contribute to Continuous Improvement (CIs) initiatives to improve client experience and team efficiency
  • Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Finance or Commerce or relevant field
  • Minimum 5 years - 10 years of international business development experience, including relevant experience in managing international relationships
  • Advanced knowledge of best practices in sales and / or account management
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, presentation)
  • Deep industry and research experience with the ability to utilize current network of internal / external stakeholders
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and demonstrate agility in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a matrix organization and work with virtual teams
  • Proactive self-starter who will comfortably move forward in an Agile environment

  • Salary Range

    Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from :

  • Business Development18 : SGD$113,250 - $151,000 plus a performance-based incentive.
