China United Lines Limited and CU Lines PTE LTD (Collectively referred as "CULINES") were incorporated in 2005 and 2022, separately. With the restructuring of CULINES being complete in November 2024, the headerquarters of CUNLINES was moved from Shanghai to Singapore. We have been focusing on both short and long haul trades. In 2021, we ever expanded into TP and European markets. During the recent years, we have established an international network covering coastal ports in Mainland China, other countries and areas such as Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, Southeast Asia, South Asia, and the Middle East. We also have a comprehensive agency network comprising of 3rd party, joint venture and fully owned agents that support in providing customers with high quality and value-added logistics services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for an experienced and strategic Senior Manager, Human Resources (ASEAN) to join our Regional HR leadership team. This role serves as a key HR business partner to senior executives and will be responsible for aligning people's strategies with business goals across Southeast Asia. Covering diverse markets-including Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, and Myanmar-you will help drive organizational growth, talent development, and cultural transformation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

Strategic HR Partnership

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior business leaders on a broad range of HR matters.
  • Develop and execute people strategies that drive business performance, focusing on organizational effectiveness, culture, and capability building.
  • Influence executive decision-making through data-driven insights and strategic HR counsel.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage competing demands, and adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment.

HR Leadership

  • Lead the HR Business Partner function across Southeast Asia, ensuring HR programs are consistent yet responsive to local needs.
  • Collaborate closely with country HR teams to implement regional and global HR initiatives.
  • Act as the HR lead for the Singapore office, ensuring alignment with local business strategies and employment regulations.
  • Talent & Organizational Development

  • Drive strategic workforce planning, succession planning, and leadership development programs.
  • Identify and develop critical talent pipelines while fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Champion employee engagement and lead change management efforts across the region.
  • Operational Excellence

  • Partner with Centres of Excellence (Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Compensation & Benefits, etc.) to deliver high-impact HR solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations across all ASEAN countries.
  • Monitor and analyze key HR metrics and KPIs to support continuous improvement and effective decision-making.
  • Perform any other ad hoc duties as assigned by the Management.
  • ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE :

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive HR experience, including regional leadership and business partnering in a multinational environment.
  • Able to manage both strategic planning and day-to-day HR operations effectively.
  • Familiar with HR systems and digital tools, including HRIS platforms, employee engagement tools, and internal dashboards.
  • Skilled in HR data analysis - able to track and interpret key HR metrics (e.g. turnover, engagement, hiring trends) to influence decision-making.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws and HR practices across ASEAN.
  • Effectively bilingual in both English and Mandarin (as the position needs to frequently communicate with English / Chinese speaking associates verbally / in writing whenever appropriate.)
