The Finance Transformation Lead is a strategic role focused on aligning finance transformation initiatives with organizational goals while driving the successful implementation of a new ERP system. This role bridges the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that the ERP deployment and associated process changes deliver measurable business value. The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in finance processes, ERP implementations, and change management, along with strong stakeholder management and strategic alignment capabilities.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Collaborate with the Program Manager and System Implementor to ensure the ERP implementation meets business requirements and aligns with organizational priorities.
  • Lead efforts to define and document finance-related business requirements, ensuring alignment with ERP capabilities.
  • Act as the primary business liaison for ERP configuration, testing, and deployment phases.
  • Work with Internal Team Leads to validate ERP design decisions and ensure compatibility with existing processes and controls.
  • Oversee data migration efforts, ensuring data integrity and accuracy throughout the implementation lifecycle.

Business Alignment and Strategy

  • Partner with the CFO and Steering Committee to establish a transformation roadmap integrating ERP implementation with broader finance objectives.
  • Advocate for finance stakeholders, ensuring ERP functionalities and transformation efforts address their needs and challenges.
  • Align ERP project outcomes with strategic objectives, focusing on process optimization, compliance, and reporting enhancements.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Change Management

  • Develop and execute communication plans to keep stakeholders informed about ERP progress and transformation initiatives.
  • Drive user adoption through training programs, workshops, and effective change management strategies.
  • Build strong relationships with finance teams, IT, and external implementors to foster collaboration and shared ownership of project goals.
  • Process Optimization and Technology Integration

  • Re-engineer finance processes to maximize the benefits of the ERP system, including automation and efficiency improvements.
  • Champion the integration of data analytics and reporting tools to enhance decision-making capabilities.
  • Identify opportunities to align ERP functionalities with emerging technologies and best practices.
  • Governance and Risk Management

  • Participate in governance forums to ensure ERP project milestones align with business objectives and timelines.
  • Ensure ERP implementation adheres to financial controls, compliance requirements, and risk management standards.
  • Provide input on resolving escalated issues and mitigating risks related to ERP adoption and broader transformation initiatives.
  • Requirements :

    Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; advanced certifications (e.g., ACCA, PMP, ERP-specific certifications) preferred.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience, with significant involvement in ERP implementations and finance transformation projects.
  • Demonstrated expertise in ERP system selection, implementation, and process re-engineering (e.g., Workday, SAP, Oracle, etc.).
  • Key Skills and Competencies

  • In-depth understanding of finance processes, ERP configurations, and transformation methodologies.
  • Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP system testing, data migration, and user training.
  • Proven ability to lead change management efforts, ensuring smooth transitions and high user adoption rates.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on aligning technical solutions with business objectives.
