Mizuho Bank is seeking an experiencedpliance professional to join the APAC Regionalpliance Team to managepliance risk for the Asia-Pacific region. The APACpliance Chief of Staff will support the APAC Chiefpliance Officer in managing and coordinating the regionalpliance programme, the operations of the department, stakeholdermunication and oversight of all Mizuho Bank APAC Offices.

Key responsibilities

Support and assist the APAC CCO in the design, development, delivery and execution of best-in-classpliance framework and programme
Oversee and provide strategic direction forpliance transformation and programme development and status, andmunication and status updates to stakeholders
Support and assist the APAC CCO in the oversight of the team's change the bank and run the bank activities, tasks and deliverables
Support and assist the APAC CCO in the oversight and management of the operations of the department including the review and design of the organizational structure, where necessary
Oversee and support the identification, assessment and management of keypliance risks across the region
Drive regional consistency and minimum standards
Support and assist the APAC CCO in the oversight of Countrypliance teams and the execution of thepliance programme in APAC
Build strong and effective relationships with stakeholders
Provide direction, leadership and guidance to Countrypliance teams
Attract, develop and retainpliance talent

Knowledge, skills and experience

Bachelor's degree or equivalent

At least 20 years' experience inpliance, legal or other controls related function in the financial services industry

Extensive knowledge and strong expertise in the design and implementation ofpliance programmes

Highly motivated leader and team player

Strong executional abilities

Strong analytical,munication and people skills, ability to lead, influence and collaborate with people across different cultures and backgrounds

Adaptable, resilient and passionate about making a difference

Subject matter expert, experience dealing withplex issues, forward-looking, solutions-oriented, ability to be hands-on
