Description

This is a leading global energy trading firm operating across a diverse portfolio of commodities and products. Known for its collaborative culture and fast-paced environment, the firm offers excellent exposure to front-to-back operations. As part of its continued growth in Singapore, the firm is looking to appoint an Accountant. This is a great opportunity to take on a broad finance role covering both financial accounting and accounts payable in a high-performing team.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for a wide range of accounting activities, including full-spectrum accounts payable (AP), month-end and year-end closing, journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations. You will ensure timely and accurate recording of transactions, support internal and external audits, and assist in financial reporting and analysis. The role offers breadth and learning across the accounting function.

Requirements

You should have at least 3 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally within a commodities, trading, or shipping environment. Experience with AP processes and financial reporting is essential. You are meticulous, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced setting. Experience with SAP and / or other ERP systems will be advantageous.
