Assistant Operations Manager / Operations Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Senior Operations Executive to join a reputable shipowning company, managing a fleet of Supramax, Panamax, and Capesize vessels. You’ll play a key role in supporting the General Manager of Operations / Marine to ensure smooth and efficient vessel operations while serving as the main point of contact for 6–7 owned vessels.

Key Responsibilities :

• Oversee day-to-day operations and post-fixture activities of assigned vessels
• Provide guidance to vessel operators to ensure operational efficiency
• Monitor vessel movements, performance, and charter party compliance
• Prepare hire statements and liaise with technical teams on hire-related matters
• Manage CP updates, BLs / LOIs, and ensure proper recordkeeping
• Support claims, invoicing, and communication with charterers and managers
• Handle EU-ETS / FuelEU coordination and reporting
