A Director of Revenue & Distribution is responsible for maximizing overall hotel room revenue through room reservation by implementation of proactive selling strategies and actions plans, effective inventory and pricing strategies based on future demands, current trends and historical data to drive and achieve the budgeted revenue thereby maintaining a healthy business.
Principal Accountabilities
- Manage and lead the Team through day-to-day operations, as well as strategically guide the Revenue department to achieve Team and organizational goals
- Drive Market Share and Revenue Performance through proper pricing and mix management using competitive reports
- Closely monitor competitive pricing and understand the impact of pricing decisions on property performance.
- Develop an overall pricing strategy to include all market segments and distribution channels.
- Provide guidance on corporate transient, group & wholesale pricing and ensure effective pricing strategies to reflect asset strength relative to the competition.
- Ensure compliance to the Best Rate Guarantee
- Effectively manage and be in control of all inventory (transient, group, wholesale allotments, and other) and pricing strategy in all distribution channels including branded web, 3rd party sites and the GDS.
- Pro-actively identify need periods and prepare a need period plan, in cooperation with hotel Sales & Marketing, & Corporate / Regional resources.
- Responsible for effective implementation and compliance with METT Revenue Management Standards.
- Clearly communicate to the hotel team the strategic vision and objectives on how to drive revenue and improve performance
- Lead the property’s weekly Revenue Management meeting and contribute to the Daily Operations Meeting
- Ensure Team Members have current knowledge for all relevant processes, policies and promotions, as necessary, to perform their duties
- Manage staff performance in compliance with company policies and procedures
- Perform other duties pertinent to this job as assigned.

BA degree in Business, Hospitality or finance or any related fieldMinimum 5 years of experience in Revenue Management in hospitality industry (5Hotel or resort)Excellent negotiation and leadership skillsExcellent computer skills and excellent management skillsStrong analytical and project management skillsGood business awareness including external markets and competitor positionsGood knowledge of policies and procedures, their development and applicationsHigh coaching skills are a must in order to maintain the positive and supportive role with the managers and teamsExcellent Interpersonal and communications skillsHighly cooperative team spiritSeniority level
