At Halogen, our goal is to help young people develop positive belief systems and values so that they can take action in their circles of influence. As an end-to-end youth development hub, we aim to build foundational character, mindsets, and skill sets in young people by providing equal accessibility to leadership programmes and initiatives. As a youth development organisation, we work with the youthful vibrancy of our stakeholders and students, ensuring that while we seek to catalyse social impact through our young people, we also do the personal good of building a staff team that is enabled to do their best work.

As Head of Product, you will be responsible for defining and executing the overarching product vision and strategy, leading the design and development of innovative programmes, learning aids, and other offerings tailored to youth development at Halogen. You will champion a culture of continuous improvement and impact measurement, guiding the Product team and orchestrating collaboration across departments to ensure our products effectively meet the evolving needs of young people. You will report to the Chief Executive Officer.

Responsibilities

Keep pulse of emerging learning and development tools, products and offerings and conduct research to analyse emerging industry trends

Work with the CEO to conceptualise and design a diverse portfolio of new products, including programmes, merchandise, learning aids, and games, aligned with Halogen's mission to empower youth.

Work with the CEO to integrate the strategic framework for impact measurement and reporting, matching it to the larger organisation goals of leading research and thought leadership.

Spearhead the research, development, and innovation initiatives of the Product team to create the product offerings identified in the portfolio.

Evaluate curriculum effectiveness and recommend enhancement opportunities across the organisation's products and services portfolio

Manage and develop Product team members

Foster collaboration between the Product team and key internal departments to collectively ensure seamless product lifecycle management from conceptualisation to business development and delivery.

Deliver training programmes and represent Halogen's pedagogical excellence in engagements with critical stakeholders or adult learners.

A typical week at work involves

Work with the CEO and Managers to align Halogen’s product portfolio and direction for youth programmes

Leading and participating in team meetings and inter-departmental strategy sessions to drive product development and organisational alignment.

Dedicating focused time to designing and writing new programme content, and conceptualising innovative product ideas.

Engaging in continuous learning by reading applicable academic theories and researching the efficacy and impact of existing and potential programmes.

Collaborating closely with the business development teams on outreach and the ground training team on programme execution.

Managing and mentoring the Product team, guiding their research, development efforts, and professional growth.

What You’ll Achieve

By the end of your first month,

You would have established a comprehensive understanding of Halogen's mission, its full suite of existing products, and its strategic position within the youth development ecosystem.

You would have developed foundational relationships with all key internal stakeholders across departments, understanding their functions and interdependencies.

You would have analysed the current product landscape and began to identify initial areas for potential innovation or refinement.

By the end of your sixth month

You would come up with product portfolio recommendations for the CEO’s review, making sound recommendations informed by Halogen's context and strategic goals.

You would have successfully conceptualised and initiated the development of one or two new programmes, demonstrating an understanding of effective programme design.

You would have navigated and influenced inter-departmental workflows effectively, contributing to smoother collaboration between internal frontline departments.

By the end of your first year,

You would have actively shaped the product roadmap and innovation strategy for your team, aligning it with your strategic vision of the organisation and Halogen's overall objectives.

You would be recognised as an effective strategic partner who deeply understands the nuances of the youth development landscape, the nonprofit context that Halogen operates in, and the larger L&D industry.

You would have demonstrated measurable progress in the product portfolio's impact or reach.

Requirements

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience managing partnerships, events and programmes. Experiences working on programmes regionally in ASEAN would be considered favourably.

Energetic and dynamic, able to engage diverse youth and stakeholders both locally and regionally.

Excellent interpersonal, coordination, and communication skills that can adapt across different types and levels of stakeholders.

Meticulous and detail-oriented, with a good understanding of managing professional relationships.
