Job Description
The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial health and strategic financial planning of the company. This includes managing day-to-day financial operations, budgeting, reporting, statutory compliance, and team leadership. You will work closely with management to provide insights and recommendations that support business growth and ensure long-term financial stability.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the full spectrum of accounting and financial functions
- Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and cost control measures
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of statutory filings (e.g. GST, corporate tax, ACRA)
- Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory authorities
- Evaluate financial performance, profitability, and operational efficiency of business units
- Lead, mentor, and manage the finance team, ensuring professional growth and accountability
- Advise senior management on financial risks, investment strategies, and funding requirements
- Support business strategy with financial models, scenario analysis, and KPIs
- Oversee payroll, vendor management, and procurement policies if required
Requirements
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA / ACCA or equivalent is an advantageMinimum 6–8 years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial roleStrong understanding of SFRS, corporate tax, GST, and statutory compliance in SingaporeProficient in accounting systems (e.g., Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, or SAP) and Microsoft ExcelAnalytical, detail-oriented, and resourceful in problem-solvingAbility to communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels, including external partnersStrong leadership and team management skillsPrior experience in a consulting, education, or professional services firm is an added advantageTell employers what skills you have
