The Job
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Resident Engineer (Geotechnical) to join our client’s team for a major infrastructure development project in Singapore. The successful candidate will play a key role in the supervision and execution of complex civil and geotechnical works, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance across all stages of construction.
Key Responsibilities :
Lead and supervise C&S site staff in accordance with instructions from CAG, QP(S), SRE, project consultants, and FUI owners.Oversee and ensure proper implementation of geotechnical works such as cut-and-cover tunnels, deep excavations, ground improvements, foundation works , and installation and monitoring of instrumentation .Inspect and monitor site activities to ensure compliance with design specifications, statutory codes, and safety standards.Ensure accurate collation, analysis, and reporting of monitoring data and site progress.Prepare and submit site inspection reports, progress reports, and documentation in accordance with project and regulatory requirements.Provide guidance and mentorship to site staff, promoting teamwork and high standards of performance.Work closely with stakeholders to troubleshoot technical issues and ensure the timely resolution of site challenges.Be available for shift work as required by the project schedule.The Profile
You have at least 5 years of relevant experience in civil and / or geotechnical engineering, with at least 3 years in supervision / design of major infrastructure projects involving deep excavation, tunnelling, and geotechnical monitoring.You possess a Bachelor’s degree in Civil and Structural or Geotechnical Engineering recognised by the Professional Engineers Board (PEB), Singapore .Accreditation by the Joint Accreditation Committee (JAC) of IES / ACES is mandatory.You have strong knowledge of statutory codes, site supervision procedures, and quality control systems.You possess proven leadership, communication, and organisational skills , with the ability to manage site teams effectively.Strong problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and safety.You are willing to work shifts in accordance with project demands.The Employer
