Our client is a global leader in tank storage, specializing in the safe and efficient handling of essential liquid and gas products such as chemicals, oil, LNG, and biofuels. It operates a vast network of terminals across more than 30 countries, supporting global supply chains and energy transitions. With a strong focus on sustainability, it is actively developing infrastructure for new energies like ammonia, CO₂, and sustainable fuels.

They are looking for a Head of Legal.

Job Description

This role reports to the President.

Role is responsible for delivering independent, strategic legal counsel across the Singapore business unit. The position combines deep legal expertise with commercial insight to support complex decision-making, shape policy, and mitigate risk. It involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams and alignment with global legal standards to ensure consistent, pragmatic legal support.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely, practical legal advice to business stakeholders, especially in commercial operations.
• Lead legal support for projects, investments, M&A, joint ventures, and regulatory compliance.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts and legal documents.
• Manage dispute resolution, compliance investigations, and corporate governance matters.
• Conduct internal legal training and maintain legal resources and templates.
• Oversee external counsel relationships and support insurance and shipping-related claims.

The Successful Applicant

• Admission to the Singapore bar, or a common law jurisdiction
• Law degree with minimum 8 years of post-qualification experience.
• Strong background in corporate, commercial, and regulatory law.
• Experience in-house at a multinational organization is preferred.
• Familiarity with areas such as shipping, construction, compliance, and employment law.
