POSITION SUMMARY

The Finance Lead, Singapore will be responsible for managing and overseeing the financial planning, analysis, and reporting processes to ensure the continued financial health and growth of the company. The incumbent will provide insights, and strategic support to key business initiatives and decision-making processes, partnering closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

  • Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A)
  • Lead the preparation and management of the company’s financial planning processes, including annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial strategies.
  • Monitor financial performance against budgeted targets and forecasts, providing variance analysis and actionable recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models to evaluate profitability, cost structures, and growth opportunities.
  • Management Reporting
  • Prepare comprehensive and timely financial reports for senior management, including monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reviews.
  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to track the company’s financial and operational performance.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to evaluate and communicate the financial impact of key business decisions.
  • Financial Strategy and Business Support
  • Provide strategic financial insights to support key business initiatives, including product development, pricing strategies, and market expansion.
  • Lead financial analysis for new business opportunities, including potential acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships.
  • Collaborate with sales, operations, and marketing teams to evaluate product and pricing strategies, identifying opportunities for profitability improvements.
  • Cash Flow and Working Capital Management
  • Oversee cash flow management, including monitoring daily cash balances, forecasting future cash needs, and managing working capital.
  • Develop strategies to optimize inventory, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes to improve cash flow and liquidity.
  • Financial Reporting and Compliance
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
  • Lead the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement.
  • Collaborate with internal audit and external auditors to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and financial reporting requirements.
  • Maintain effective internal controls and ensure adherence to financial reporting guidelines and industry standards.
  • Commercial Finance
  • Analyze cost structures, working with cross-functional teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
  • Evaluate profitability by segment, product line, and channel, providing recommendations for margin optimization.
  • Stay informed of industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to provide competitive insights.
  • Use market research to inform pricing strategies, product positioning, and business forecasts.
  • Additional Responsibilities (As Needed) :
  • Lead or support ad hoc financial projects as directed by the CFO, including system upgrades, process improvements, and strategic initiatives.
  • Work closely with other departments, including sales, operations, and marketing, to understand business challenges and provide data-driven recommendations.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of business cases for new investments, initiatives, and product lines.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or CPA is preferred.
  • Experience
  • 7+ years of experience in commercial finance, financial analysis, or a related role, with experience in a manufacturing or consumer goods environment (preferred).
  • Strong experience in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Prior experience in financial reporting and working with senior management teams to drive strategic decision-making.
  • Technical Skills
  • Proficiency with financial management software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Excel).
  • Advanced knowledge of financial analysis tools, reporting software, and business intelligence platforms.
  • Familiarity with GAAP, internal controls, and financial regulations.
  • Soft Skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
