As a Senior Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing market strategies within the pharmaceutical sector. You will lead our out-licensing initiatives and broader business development efforts across APAC markets.
Your expertise will lead B2B business development and key account management driving market penetration and commercial success.
As an individual contributor, you will work independently, take initiative, and manage your own responsibilities while collaborating effectively to achieve results.
How you’ll spend your day
- Collaborate with the Cluster Head and cross-functional teams to design and implement market strategies, focusing on lifecycle management, market entry, and business growth.
- Lead efforts to achieve commercial targets, identify new business opportunities, and manage key accounts to deliver best-in-class service.
- Lead out licensing strategies to expand the reach of our pharmaceutical portfolio.
- Identify and negotiate strategic partnerships to drive revenue and market penetration.
- Provide insights into market conditions, customer trends, and competition to inform strategic decisions.
- Guide cross-functional teams to solve complex problems and bring products to market effectively.
- Develop strategic plans to increase market share and maximize the potential of the Medis portfolio.
- Ensure all activities meet regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Prioritize and analyse market opportunities to develop robust strategies.
- Identify profitable portfolios and address sales gaps through strategic partnerships.
- Stay abreast of market trends to uncover new opportunities and provide regular updates to the Cluster team.
- Manage daily operations and planning within the Cluster to achieve KPIs.
- Drive commercial results, negotiate offers, and manage agreements with customers.
- Provide market intelligence on pricing strategies and advise on action plans for low-margin products.
Your experience and qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, Business, or a related fieldMinimum of 8 years in commercial roles, with a strong emphasis on contract negotiations and regulatory complianceProven track record in out licensing or B2B business developmentExperience in regulatory, legal / IP matters is highly valuedDemonstrate strong leadership capabilities with a focus on achieving successHigh numeracy and analytical skills with a commercial focusExcellent business partnering, communication, and interpersonal skillsProven ability to develop and execute commercial strategies from lead generation to salesAbility to thrive in high-pressure situations and meet tight deadlinesStrong skills in project managementComfortable working independently while delivering results in a collaborative environmentDeep understanding of the generic pharmaceutical industry and ability to navigate a fast-paced, multifaceted environmentEnjoy a more rewarding choice
