Overview

I advise companies on building and scaling public relations, corporate & public affairs, investor relations, ESG, digital, and integrated marketing.

Position : Global Head of External Affairs for a leading Agriculture and Natural Resources Firm. This senior role involves managing global communications, advocacy, corporate affairs, and sustainability. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in reputation management and leading communications teams across regions, with in-depth knowledge of environmental issues.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and execute reputation and communication strategies across APAC and other global markets.
Build and oversee a multi-regional corporate communications team.
Collaborate with the sustainability team to support environmental initiatives and ESG compliance.
Act as the primary press contact for corporate affairs, sustainability, and policy issues.
Provide strategic counsel to internal stakeholders on critical issues, brand reputation, and messaging.
Design and implement innovative communication plans to support business growth.
Coordinate with communication teams across the firm's portfolio.
Oversee regional agencies and strategic partners.
Travel as needed for trade meetings, speaking engagements, etc.

Candidate Profile

Bachelor's degree in Agri-Science with a business background or related fields like Public Relations, Media Studies, Journalism, Government Affairs, Policy, International Studies.

Minimum 18-20 years of experience in corporate communications, with a strong background in investor relations, sustainability communications, and crisis management.

Familiarity with environmental policy issues in the region.

Exceptional written, verbal, public speaking, and organizational skills.

Deep understanding of digital and social media strategy and content development.

Fluency in English is essential; fluency in Chinese or Bahasa is a significant advantage.

Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, innovative leadership approach.

Ability to manage multiple projects and lead teams across global regions.
