Job description

Job Responsibilities :

  • Oversight and Collaboration :

Augment the client's System Manager and collaborate with Operations Managers and End Users to oversee operations and maintenance activities for data network infrastructure and systems.

Areas include : Incident and Problem Management, Change Management, Obsolescence and Vulnerabilities Management, Risk Management, Governance, Compliance, Quality Management, and Service Improvement.

  • Vendor Management :
  • Lead and manage the vendor's Operations and Support (O&S) team in fault analysis, problem resolution, preventive maintenance, obsolescence management, change management, vulnerabilities tracking, patch management, and more.

  • Technical Support :
  • Assist users with first-level investigation of network faults / issues and ensure timely vendor responses to incidents.

  • Reporting :
  • Review vendor's monthly O&S reports and provide summaries on system health, fault records, service reports, change requests, vulnerabilities updates, EOL (End-of-Life) status, and additional deliverables.

  • Deliverable Review :
  • Evaluate vendor deliverables for operational and preventive maintenance activities.

    Job Requirements :

    Educational Qualification :

  • Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or an equivalent field.
  • Experience :

  • 3-4 years of experience in core network support and maintenance, risk assessment, change requests, tech refresh, vulnerabilities assessment, and patching.
  • Certifications :

  • Valid certification in CCNA or equivalent is required.
  • Technical Skills :

  • Working knowledge of networking with the ability to perform basic troubleshooting, problem isolation, and diagnosis of network problems.
  • Ability to lead and collaborate with vendors to manage SLAs, coordinate onsite activities, produce quality reports, and ensure compliance with policies and guidelines.
  • Stakeholder Management :

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a proven track record in stakeholder management.
  • Capable of managing expectations, addressing concerns, and effectively communicating with System Managers and End Users.
  • Preferred Background :

  • Prior experience in defence organizations or government ministries requiring security clearance is highly desirable.
  • Nationality :

  • Only Singapore Citizens (Cat 1) are eligible for this role due to security clearance requirements.
