Job Description
Our client is a global FMCG company for baby & maternity products. You will be responsible for the product design and product development lifecycle.
Reporting to : R&D Manager.
Responsibilities 】
- Lead the product development lifecycle, transforming creative concepts into market-ready products from initial design to final production
- Source OEM strategically and new products from international partners, evaluating and selecting suppliers while ensuring adherence to company quality standards
- Collaborate closely with Product Designers, Engineers, Product Managers, QA / QC, and Marketing teams to define, develop, and validate mechanical design intent
- Conduct in-depth engineering research to resolve design challenges, optimize product structures, select appropriate materials, and define specifications to meet performance and cost objectives
- Perform tolerance analysis, risk assessments, and engineering validation, implementing technological advancements to enhance cost efficiency
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including product specifications, evaluation reports, and cost analysis, to support seamless mass production
- Work alongside manufacturing partners to ensure feasibility, quality compliance, and efficient production processes
- Demonstrate expertise in molding processes, including injection molding, compression molding, and liquid silicone rubber (LSR) molding, with a strong understanding of design for manufacturing (DFM) principles

Diploma in Product Design / Product Engineering / Engineering or related field5 years of product design and development, with a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and manufacturing processes in the FMCG / Electronics industryUnderstanding of electronic product and the evaluation process involvedProficient with Rhinoceros, SolidWorks, or other 3D tools, as well as Microsoft Office SuiteProficient in written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin to communicate with English and Mandarin-speaking suppliersWilling to do business travelling (10%) for meeting overseas suppliers or factoryAdvantageous)
Experience working in a Japanese company is a plusKnowledge of IEC Standard, ROHS, and EMC will be an added advantageAbility to join within 1 month or shorter will be advantageous!English Level
