Lab Technician (Shift / Jurong Island)

Job Description

• Analysis of samples in order to support the operations staff to run the process by Setting up and operating laboratory equipment and instruments as outlined in current instructions
• Performing tests according to the Analysis Plan in order to monitor the production process on samples from the production and record test results
• Communicating results to the relevant Operations personnel
• Preparing reagents and standards needed for analysis
• Ensuring sufficient laboratory inventories such as Chemicals and Consumables for operation
• Involving in job safety risk activities and adhere to safe practices in the laboratory
• Performing routine / non-routine housekeeping jobs as required to keep the area clean and safe
• Covering duties in laboratory stream as assigned

Maintain the lab equipment and quality system

Requirement

ITE / Diploma in Chemistry or equivalent

minimum 1 year experience in an analytical laboratory environment in the chemical industry

List machines, tools, equipment, and others used in the performance of the duties.

Lab equipment such as GC, HPLC, Automatic Titrators, AAS, UV Spectrometer, Glass oven, Rotary evaporator, Density meter, X-ray, TOC analyzer, TGA analyzer etc.
