Job Description
- Accountable for all financial and management reporting requirements of a portfolio of entities including necessary financial reports and variance analysis.
- Supervise a team of co-workers to achieve financial excellence, including the following :
- 1) timely and accurate monthly reporting and submission of financial results;
- 2) transactions are properly accounted for in accordance with the relevant statutory regulations, accounting standards, and group policies;
- 3) proper cost allocation for respective projects;
4) reconciliations of intercompany balances / transactions and key accounts are performed and reviewed
5) Forecasting & Annual Budget
6) GST compliance & reporting
7) Monthly & annual survey to Department of Statistics
Responsible for corporate taxation, review tax computation, and liaise with tax agents to manage the filing process.Manage treasury matters, including banking, fixed deposit placements, and review and analyse banking transaction fees to identify cost reductions.Manage and lead harmonization and automation projects to ensure continuous improvement in quality and efficiency of accounting processesCoordinate closely with other finance teams on procedures and accounting mattersLiaise with external / internal auditorsProvide guidance and training to a team of co-workersAssist with any other adhoc duties as assignedRequirements
Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or other professional accounting qualificationsChartered Accountant will be an advantageSupervisory experience with background on project costing will be an advantageSound knowledge of accounting standards and relevant statutory requirementsGood interpersonal skills - able to engage with co-workers from various work teams / levelsEffective written and oral communication skills
