Job Description
The incumbent will support the Student Life and Alumni Relations Section of the Dean's Office, Faculty of Science (FoS). Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following -
1) Manage Graduate Employability and Industry Relations
- Act as Course Coordinator for SP2401 / 2 Science & Technology Industry Insights I / II
- Organise the Industrial Seminar Series to build industrial awareness in our Science students
- Organise the Employers' Appreciation event to maintain good industry relations with our partners
- Conduct Graduate Employment Survey (GES) data analysis for the Faculty overall and for all the individual departments. The combination of the analysis includes internship, overseas exposure and other special educational programmes
- Partner and collaborate with Centre for Future-Ready Graduates (CFG) for all career preparation events for Science students
- Act as the Main Liaison Officer with Industry Research Partners, facilitating and initiating negotiations, to seek opportunities for our Postgraduate Research students
2) Provide administrative support for the Undergraduate Professional Internship Programme (UPIP)
Manage internship administration and ensure smooth operations of the UPIP processes3) Provide administrative and logistical support for Alumni-Student Networking events
4) Any other duties as assigned by the Vice Dean
Qualifications / Requirements / Other Info
Degree holder with several years of work experience, preferably in a relationship building settingFamiliarity with STEM industry trends, regulations, and best practices will be an advantageAbility to build rapport and foster positive relationships with diverse stakeholdersSkills in negotiation and conflict resolution are valuableStrong verbal and written communication skills are essentialStrong organisational and time management skills are necessaryKeen knowledge of computer applications and social media platformsA team player with the ability to multi-task to meet deadlinesPositive attitude with an approachable and pleasant dispositionArticulate, poised and presentableRemuneration is based on a 12-month salary structure, with annual variable bonus which is subject to incumbent's performance and the University / School's prevailing remuneration policies.The incumbent will be emplaced at an appropriate appointment grade based on his / her individual merits.
