The Scope :
A F&B Commis Waiter is responsible for seating guests and managing table set-ups to deliver excellent Guest experience while working to achieve departmental targets. Responsible for anticipating the needs of attending patrons, maintain the established standard of service, and to adhere to the policies and procedures of the hotel.
Job Responsibilities :
- Anticipate and attend to guest’s needs and desires immediately
- Maintain your self-appearance in accordance with the hotel’s grooming standards
- Ensure that a high product standard and consistency is maintained all of the time
- Acquire a full knowledge of the hotel’s food and beverage service policies and procedures
- Ensure the table and seating arrangement remains organized
- Maintain superior levels of food and beverage service to hotel guests
- Maintain a harmonious relationship with other members of the service team
- Clear plates, glassware, and any other unnecessary items from your outlet
- Up-sell with latest departmental incentives
- Manage guest queries in a timely and efficient manner
- Ensure that all areas are stocked in accordance with established par level
- Ensure compliance of brand standards
- Strive to achieve departmental targets
- Ensure cleanliness of work areas
- Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation
- Comply with local licensing laws
- Adhere to all established cashiering policies and procedures
- Ensure the protection and maintenance of all operating equipment
- Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships
Qualification :
Minimum Secondary 4 education with GCE ‘O’ level credits in a minimum 3 subjectsValid WSQ Basic Food Hygiene certificationExperience :
At least 3 years’ experience working in the Food & Beverage industry or similar capacityHave a high standard of hospitality and service standardKey Competencies :
