Perform physical installations of servers, networking equipment, and other data center hardware. Ensure proper cabling and connectivity.
Conduct regular physical maintenance on servers, networking equipment, and other data center hardware to prevent issues and ensure reliability.
Quickly respond to and resolve physical incidents affecting data center operations. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues to minimize downtime and impact on services.
Assist with the physical upgrading and replacement of data center hardware. Ensure that all systems are up-to-date and function correctly.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of physical data center operations, including hardware configurations, maintenance schedules, and incident reports.
Ensure that physical data center operations comply with industry standards and security protocols. Implement and follow best practices for data center security and disaster recovery.
Work closely with other IT teams, including network engineers, system administrators, and support staff, to ensure seamless data center operations.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in data center operations or IT infrastructure.
Having good understanding about DCOPS monitoring and L1 functions
Basic knowledge of Windows and Linux operating system Basic understanding about Backup Infrastructure.
Should have basic troubleshooting and problem determination skills
Exposure to IT Infrastructure Monitoring tool and ticketing tool
Understanding of virtualization and cloud platforms (VMware, AWS, Azure).
Ability to work in a high-pressure in 24 / 7 environment.
