Role

Communications Manager is charged with storytelling on a global scale, bringing to life Clermont's vision and mission, operating company products and services, people, and the company philosophy.

This role is responsible for public relations, corporate communications, internal communications, government affairs and managing the overall identity suite of content for the group. The individual will be responsible for directing and managing the public relations of Clermont and its operating companies globally, promoting and sustaining the company's reputation, and our goal to pursue goodness of business.

With an eye to the future, the Communications Manager will develop and deploy long-term communications narratives and key company messages that support the vision of Clermont. He or she will set and guide the strategy for all communications narratives and ensure the operating company teams consistently articulate their visions and missions.

Communications Manager will work closely with senior management across our portfolio of companies, including the Clermont Group Chairman.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities will include :

Strategic

  • Manage, build and protect the Clermont Group reputation
  • Ensure the world has an accurate, positive view of Clermont
  • Determine Communications strategy and department Blueprint ensuring programs are executed to deliver on Identity objectives
  • Develop long-term narratives and key company messages for Clermont Group and its operating businesses, ensuring they are anchored in Clermont's purpose and values and consistent with the business strategies and missions
  • Act as key advisor to the senior management of Clermont and its operating companies on reputational matters
  • Develop and manage social media strategies, including content
  • Corporate Communications

  • Build strong and meaningful relationships with T1 media at a senior, decision making level
  • Drive agency to develop and maintain strong in-house media relationships, ensuring we maximise coverage and opportunities for storytelling
  • Develop narrative and communications strategies and initiatives both for internal communications and external release including press releases and crisis management
  • Design and build internal communications functions (information sharing platform / intranet) for employees that are efficient and transparent
  • Set up effective team structure and world-class communication team with deep expertise
  • Implement and oversee public communications approval process and systems to prevent unauthorised messaging and external communications
  • Publications

  • Drive and oversee the production of all digital and printed publications of the Clermont Group and its operating companies to ensure alignment in narratives and messaging
  • Inspire and influence internal story team to develop creative content and rich storytelling for publication in owned channels and other media channels we operate
  • Government Affairs

  • Develop, drive & coordinate Government Affairs strategies across specific relevant markets globally
  • Understand and advise senior stakeholders on broader geopolitical landscape
  • Requirements

    The successful candidate will ideally possess the following traits :

  • Minimum 8 to 12 years' experience in reputation management of global brands at an agency or in-house corporate communications teams
  • Experience in building and delivering world-class communications strategies and agenda
  • Proven track record of delivering best in class communications campaigns and building company awareness
  • Relationship builder, comfortable with operating within a global team where many key relationships are international
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Exceptional storytelling and writing skills in English
  • Experience in crisis communications and successfully navigating reputation threatening issues
  • An eye for design preferable but not a must
  • Openness to experience
  • The power of influence - ability to build and manage stakeholder relationships internationally and at all levels
  • Talent development - ability to improve people, realise their potential locally and globally
  • Administrative Details

    Start date : Immediate

    Compensation : Competitive base salary; discretionary bonus

    Benefits : Medical insurance; 23 days annual leave

    Education : Preference for degrees from top tier institutions

    Experience : Minimum 8 to 12 years of relevant professional experience

    Languages : Excellent command of English

    Supervisory : Individual performer

    Reporting : Reporting directly to the President and Singapore Country Head

    Travel : Based in Singapore, with moderate amount of international travel
