Description

We are looking for a Senior System Engineer with a DevOps skillset, and he / she will be part of a team to implement, maintain, and upgrade DevOps automation tools and infrastructure.

The team will automate application deployment processes using industry-leading CI / CD pipeline tools, monitor deployment and system performance, and troubleshoot issues.

Responsibilities

  • Apply cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) computing skills to deploy upgrades and fixes
  • Put in place continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) process and tools to enable the agile team to deliver quality software based on user feedback
  • Develop scripts to automate build, software release, application deployment and system and application management
  • Collaborate with team members to improve the companys engineering tools, systems and procedures and data security
  • Conduct automated system-level vulnerability security scan, harden system and application platform
  • Liaise with 3rd party software and cloud vendors to manage and resolve incidents and technical issues
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience as a DevOps engineer
  • Expertise in configuring DevOps tools such as Git, Jenkins, Sonarqube, Nexus and Nexus IQ
  • Proficiency with Container platform such as Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift, Quay
  • Knowledge of AWS Cloud services configuration such as EC2, Network Load Balancer, Application Load Balancer, Web Application Firewall, Security Group, RDS, S3 and Lambda
  • Past track records in virtualisation / container technology and setting up continuous integration / continuous deployment processes and tools
  • Past track records in Linux / Windows Systems Administration
  • Experience with application development and setting up of middleware
  • Knowledge of setting up and maintaining databases will be an added advantage

    • Nice to have

  • Understanding of networking protocols and services, e.g. SFTP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs and routing will be an added advantage
