Position Overview : The Senior Finance Manager APAC is a key member of the APAC Leadership Team, working closely with the APAC General Manager. This role oversees all Commercial Finance Business Partnering and FP&A deliverables for APAC, including market, customer, and brand analyses to support business decisions and profitability benchmarks. The role also involves providing leadership to the Commercial Finance / FP&A team.
Major Duties and Responsibilities :
- Lead the process of Annual Planning, monthly Business Outlook, and 3-year Strategic Planning for APAC. Collaborate with the GM to define regional business development and strategy. Harmonize cross-functional efforts through analysis and financial summaries for senior management reviews.
- Support FP&A Manager in delivering accurate and timely forecasts and management reports aligned with international FP&A timelines and IBM calendar. Work closely with India / APAC FP&A teams for geo-cluster reporting and forecasting.
- Manage Market P&Ls by Customer / Retailer / Brand through analysis and insights-driven actions. Engage regularly with sales and brand managers to optimize margins and trade promotions. Communicate investment opportunities or necessary cuts with the General Manager.
- Drive decision-making through data during key meetings, monitor trade promotion and brand spending, and champion margin expansion initiatives.
- Participate in product portfolio decision-making, manage profitability benchmarks, oversee pricing strategies, and support revenue growth initiatives across products and markets.
- Develop and coach finance team members, contribute to talent development and succession planning, and collaborate with the broader Finance leadership team.
- Establish strong relationships with distributors and vendors, overseeing financial aspects such as margin structures, KPI development, conflict resolution, and contract evaluations.
- Continuously seek process improvements to enhance efficiency, lead international projects related to process implementation and improvement.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.Strong understanding of Management Accounting principles.Experience with SAP and other financial reporting tools.Excellent teamwork, collaboration, and organizational skills.High levels of curiosity, initiative, conflict resolution skills, executive presence, and systems thinking.Leadership skills with experience in coaching and developing teams.Minimum Education and Experience :
Education : Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business.
Experience : 10-12 years in related fields, preferably in FMCG, Food, Consumer Pharma, or Manufacturing FMCG sectors. Experience managing end-to-end P&L, whether small or large.
