Location : Tukang, Singapore (West)
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Service Technician / Engineer with a mechanical or electrical engineering background to join our Asia team in our Tukang workshop. You will be responsible for the maintenance, overhaul, repair, and commissioning of engines and related automation systems. This role provides an excellent opportunity to work on cutting-edge diesel engine technology while supporting the continuous improvement of workshop service operations.

Key Accountabilities
- Perform installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and overhaul of engines and associated systems in the workshop or at customer sites.
- Independently carry out assigned tasks in accordance with OEM manuals, documentation, and instructions, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
- Support engine and component troubleshooting during bench-testing where applicable.
- Liaise with supervisors and technical specialists for support on complex technical matters.
- Prepare detailed service and investigation reports after job completion.
- Provide guidance to junior technicians in using technical documentation, tools, and customer drawings.
- Maintain compliance with Workplace Safety and Health Act (WSHA) regulations and internal WHS guidelines during all work activities.
- Travel regionally for short or long-term assignments as required.
- Perform engine component repairs and overhauls, including disassembly and reassembly of key components.
- Ensure that all overhaul and repair work meet quality and turnaround time (TAT) targets.
- Possess or develop strong knowledge of diesel engine fuel systems, including fuel pumps, injectors, and governors.
- Support improvement projects aimed at enhancing productivity, efficiency, and workplace safety.
- Collaborate closely with supervisors for technical clarification and work prioritization.
- Contribute to departmental KPIs in quality, safety, efficiency, and production throughput.
Qualifications
Diploma / NITEC / ITE in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering (or equivalent).Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience, preferably in engine automation, diesel engine systems, or heavy equipment service.Knowledge in automation systems and basic understanding of PLCs or electronic control units is an advantage.Experience and knowledge in operating computer numerical control (CNC) machinery will be an added advantageExperience in diesel engine fuel systems (e.g., fuel pump, injectors, governors) will be a strong asset.Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities.Effective communication and teamwork skills.Willingness to travel overseas on short notice for assignments.Why Join US?
