Roles & Responsibilities

Job Description & Requirements

Advisory services  – Providing guidance on financial reporting, compliance, and accounting-related matters.

  • Accounting, tax, and administration for Japanese SPCs (TMK, GK / TK)
  • Accounting, tax, and administration for overseas SPCs (Singapore, Cayman, etc.)
  • Bookkeeping
  • Statutory financial statements
  • Audit liaison
  • JGAAP–IFRS conversion
  • Investor reporting
  • Tax return assistance
  • Coordination with asset managers, fund managers, investors, group companies
  • Accounting, tax, and administration for clients’ Singapore companies / branches (mainly investors and AMs)

Client relationship management

  • Client relations, business development, and advisory
  • Respond to inquiries and make client visits
  • Prepare tax opinions
  • Draft fee quotes and engagement letters
  • Coordinate incorporations and related tasks with other teams
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Japanese-speaking clients, providing excellent customer service and responding to their inquiries promptly
  • Collaborate with different internal teams (eg : Corporate Secretarial, treasury etc) to obtain information for Japanese clients / HQ
  • Provide translation and interpretation from Japanese to English, and vice versa for the team
  • Build and maintain relationships with current / potential Japanese clients
  • Identify opportunities for business growth, including upselling and cross-selling financial services to clients
  • Other Responsibilities

  • Liaison with ASA Group companies
  • Internal training and coaching of staff
  • Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in accountancy or equivalent
  • Candidates must possess professional qualifications such as CA / CPA etc
  • Candidate must be proficient in English & Japanese (JLPT N1, written and spoken) to liaise with and to provide consultation to Japanese speaking clients stationed in Japan and Japan HQ
  • Strong knowledge of fund structures, regulations, and accounting standards.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience
  • Candidate must be willing to travel for business trips as required that may occur periodically
  • Experience in the Professional Services industry and / or client-facing roles would be an added advantage
  • Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated and serious work attitude.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on client relationship building.
