ABOUT Group OPERATIONAL Excellence (GOE)

We are a diverse group of around 30 individuals based in Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong. Our team members are either ex-consultants with financial industry experience or experienced change practitioners from leading financial institutions / global MNCs.

Our mission is to be a trusted partner to the business in driving operational excellence across the group. We work closely with Business Units and Functions to develop strategic approaches to optimise the operating model, streamline processes and partner them in driving initiatives to enhance customer service, employee experience, overall effectiveness, and productivity. We measure our success through the lasting value that we create for OCBC.

OPPORTUNITY WITH THE GOE DIVISION

Given GOE’s position at the forefront of change within the bank, you will have the opportunity to work on the most important initiatives that are broad ranging, spanning across divisions and geographies. As an advocate of operational excellence and great employee experience, your role will be to manage and steer projects you work on day-to-day directly with leadership teams across divisions and geographies. You may work alone or be supported by team members. You will also work with Heads of Department within the division on project proposals to senior stakeholders.

ROLES & responsibilities

Advise stakeholders by bringing a strategic point of view and sound approach to problem solving.

  • Design and deliver engaging training sessions, workshops, and e-learning modules on continuous improvement.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in training and development to continuously enhance the internal training program.
  • Represent GOE in stakeholders’ discussions.
  • Plan and lead employee engagements and projects.
  • Manage and guide the work of junior team members throughout their project assignments.

Qualifications

DESIRED PROFILE

At present, we are looking for individuals with transformation and business experience to complement our existing team.

The candidate should offer good financial services knowledge with a ‘consulting toolkit’. The candidate must have at least 5 years of experience in transformation, process re-design or consulting experience with a reputable firm and / or transformation division of leading financial institutions

In an ideal candidate, we look for :

  • Proven experience in  delivering strategy and transformation projects, preferably involving new business models
  • Ability to learn quickly, think strategically and critically, and articulate complex ideas in understandable ways
  • Good knowledge of how financial services businesses work and latest trends (including digital)
  • Strong knowledge of instructional design principles, adult learning theories, and training methodologies
  • Comfortable working in an unstructured, cross-divisional, and multi-stakeholder environment
