Position Summary :
We are seeking a passionate and experienced AP English Teacher to join our high-performing faculty. The ideal candidate will bring a deep knowledge of English literature and composition, a proven ability to inspire students, and experience teaching AP-level content in an engaging and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Teach AP English Literature and / or AP English Language courses to high school students.
- Prepare students for the AP Exam, ensuring a strong grasp of literary analysis, rhetorical strategies, and academic writing.
- Develop and deliver high-quality lesson plans aligned with College Board standards.
- Assess and monitor student progress; provide feedback and academic support.
- Engage students in critical thinking, discussion, and deep textual analysis.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum and interdisciplinary learning.
- Participate in school events, parent-teacher conferences, and faculty development.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in English, Literature, Education, or related field (Master's preferred).Valid teaching certification / license (if applicable).Minimum 5 years of experience teaching English at the high school level; AP teaching experience strongly preferred.Familiarity with the College Board's AP English curriculum and standards.Excellent communication, classroom management, and organizational skills.Passion for literature, writing, and student development.We Offer :
