Our client is a global leader in critical digital infrastructure and continuity solutions, specialize in designing, manufacturing, and servicing advanced power, cooling, and IT infrastructure solutions in Data Centers, Manufacturing, Healthcare etc. They are currently seeking for a Director of Distribution to lead a team of distribution managers to expand their reach. The successful candidate will have a successful track record in APAC and regional sales + channel management.

As the Director of IT Distribution for Asia, you will lead and develop our client’s IT distribution business across the region, driving revenue growth, market expansion, and strategic partner engagement. You will oversee a team of distribution managers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and execute sales strategies to achieve 2x market growth while maximizing our client’s share in Rack UPS, PDUs, Racks, and Smart Solutions.

Responsibilities

Business & Sales Leadership

  • Develop and execute annual sales plans with country distribution managers to achieve monthly, quarterly, and yearly revenue targets.
  • Drive 2x market growth by optimizing existing distributor performance and onboarding new
  • value-added distributors.
  • Define product strategies, pricing models, and sales-out programs to enhance competitive edge across geographies and verticals.
  • Ensure accurate sales forecasting and alignment with in-country sales leadership.
  • Strengthen relationships with key decision-makers at distributor and reseller levels to secure investments and resources for growth.
  • Expand partner & reseller networks to increase market penetration (breadth & depth).
  • Establish rules of engagement to manage partner conflicts fairly and maintain healthy channel dynamics.
  • Develop partner incentive programs to drive mindshare and sales team motivation.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Marketing to execute demand-generation initiatives (reseller acquisition, enablement, industry events).
  • Work with Programs, Product, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to align strategies and execution.
  • Conduct monthly business reviews to track performance, address challenges, and refine strategies.
  • Ensure smooth order management, inventory, and financial compliance within distribution operations.
  • Monitor distributor performance metrics and implement corrective actions as needed.

    • Requirements

  • 15+ years in channel sales, business management, or IT distribution (APAC / regional experience highly preferred).
  • Proven success in growing revenue, expanding partner networks, and leading high-performing teams.
  • Strong communicator (written & verbal) with exceptional presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.
