Role Overview
The Cloud Development Team within Core Engineering is responsible for enabling the use of public cloud services and managing infrastructure within the firm. You will work as part of a global, multidisciplinary team researching, architecting, and building innovative tools, systems, and best practices for Goldman Sachs engineers. We are modernizing our application stacks around cloud-native principles and migrating business workloads to the cloud, implementing reference architectures and patterns to give our business a competitive edge.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
- Implement reference patterns in CDK / Typescript for firm-wide use.
- Design scalable, production-grade AWS CDK patterns for client use.
- Enhance developer experience with innovative, customer-focused solutions.
- Coordinate across multiple projects and teams to facilitate cloud migration.
- Proactively manage issues and risks throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Apply analytical skills to develop creative, commercial solutions.
- Contribute to team knowledge sharing and best practices.
- Build services integrating on-premises systems with cloud providers.
- Collaborate on feature design and problem-solving with cross-functional teams.
- Manage full software lifecycle from requirements to deployment and decommissioning.
- Partner with engineering colleagues to improve user experience for application deployment.
- Promote best practices in cloud application development and infrastructure management.
Skills and Experience
Minimum 1 year (Analyst) / 3 years (Associate) experience with Typescript and Node ecosystem.B.S. or higher in Computer Science or equivalent experience.Experience with enterprise software development, including configuration, release management, and monitoring.Proficiency with AWS CDK, NPM, and CloudFormation.Strong communication skills.Ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders.Comfort with agile methodologies.About Goldman Sachs
