The Executive will be responsible for supporting the operational functions of the Volunteer Management (VM), with a strong focus on enhancing volunteer deployment processes through innovative solutions, including digitalisation and process improvements. In this role, the Executive will collaborate closely with the Crisis Support Team (CST) to ensure seamless operation of SOS's core services, such as SOS 24-hour Hotline and Care Text, with the mission of being an available lifeline to the distressed and suicidal. The successful candidate will also receive training in crisis-related work to effectively support both clients and volunteers, particularly for high-risk clients.
As the key liaison between the VM Manager, CST, and frontline volunteers, the Executive will serve as a communication bridge, helping to maintain clear, timely, and empathetic interactions. This role requires someone who is approachable and equipped with strong interpersonal and communication skills, contributing to the overall quality and delivery of volunteer engagement and services.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Oversee the volunteer deployment and operational functions of SOS, including roster scheduling and coordination.
- Drive continuous process improvements by identifying and implementing innovative solutions, leveraging technology to enhance operational efficiency.
- Provide meaningful engagement and support to volunteers involved in SOS's core services, such as the 24-hour Hotline and Care Text.
- Collaborate with program teams to ensure volunteers receive the necessary guidance and support for effective service delivery.
- Ensure volunteer compliance with organizational policies, particularly in areas related to data protection and confidentiality.
- Work with key volunteer leaders to cultivate camaraderie and foster a motivated, engaged volunteer community through targeted strategies.
- Participate in other VM functions and organization-wide initiatives, including volunteer recruitment, taskforce projects, events, and additional duties as assigned by HOD.

Bachelor's Degree or Graduate Diploma in a related field (e.g., Social Sciences, Human Resources, Community Development)Relevant Experience :
