for a Service Manager, Finance - GL to join our team!
The Service Manager GL Finance Shared Service Centre (FSSC) is responsible for the timeliness and accuracy of GL deliverables emanating from FSSC, and to provide support for financial matters or issues.
Ideal candidates are experienced finance leaders with a proven track record of leadership in a shared services management, with a strong sense of accountability and able to work independently.
Core Functions / Responsibilities :
Operations in FSSC
- In Record to Report (GL), ensuring all transactions are properly accounted and supported. This includes journal entries, subledger reconciliations to main GL, statistical entries to capture operational data.
- Conduct monthly reconciliation of bank and balance sheet schedules, debtors aging reports, fixed asset registers, etc.
- Ensure timely submission of monthly P&L and routine reports in line with HQ requirements, and provide variance analysis of actual vs budgeted figures
- Key liaison person with parties such as external and internal auditors, tax consultants, an excellent business partner with other non-finance departments
Annual budgeting
Assist in hotels budgeting process by providing historical financial and operational data, as well as review of budget assumptions for FSSC department (OPEX and CAPEX)Process improvements
Improving on SOPs for easy guidance and implementationHuman Capital Management
Provides guidance and mentorship to the teamKey personnel in driving and upholding service standardsOthers
Any other related duties associated with the positionQualifications / Capabilities :
At least 5-8 years experience in Finance, ideally in a Shared Service environmentA degree in Business / Accountancy from a reputable universityWillingness to learn, keen to take on responsibilitiesExperience in business partnering with other non-finance departments is a plus
