Job description

Position Overview :

We are seeking an experienced finance professional to join the Finance team as Vice President – Entity Control focusing on the front-to-back trade flow including trade booking and revenue recording. Other key responsibilities include :

1. Month End Close

  • Perform day-to-day finance operations, which include recording financial transactions in the ledger and account reconciliations.
  • Drive the timely Month End Close process including journal preparation
  • Monitor and review accounting reports for accuracy and completeness. Reconcile and resolve any accounting discrepancies
  • Apply professional judgement to identify accounting treatments adopted in financial statements and assess their suitability and acceptability

2. Financial Reporting

  • Oversee timely and accurate preparation of statutory financial statements and group reporting in compliance with IFRS and regional listing standards (monthly, quarterly and yearly)
  • Ensure audit readiness and liaise with external and internal auditors
  • Drive continuous improvement of reporting processes and financial controls
  • Present key financial updates and insights to senior management

    • 3. Risk Management & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, risk management practices, and international financial regulations.

    • 4. Operational Excellence

  • Drive process improvements and technology adoption to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.
  • Lead initiatives to integrate financial processes across the Group, ensuring consistency and scalability.

    • 5. Others

  • Participate in and co-ordinate various Finance workstreams of the Company’s Tech Transformation project
  • Participate in ad-hoc tasks / projects in support of department or Company’s initiatives.

    • Knowledge / Experience Required :

  • Degree in Accountancy or Finance, Chartered Accountant or equivalent professional qualification
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in either Product Control, Financial Control or Financial Reporting in major banks or financial institutions
  • Strong working knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards (FRS) and accounting principles
  • Finance System transformation / Project Management experience would be desirable
  • Familiarity with Trade booking / Finance systems including Sentry, Quantum and FIS
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Independent and confident in engaging senior management
  • Change and continuous improvement mindset
