Responsibilities
and Deliverables of Role :
1) Senior Regional coverage banker with Chinese clients to grow Chinese MNC business for Mizuho offices in Asia excluding Japan.
2) Undertake active marketing to Chinese MNCs, including maintaining direct C-suite contacts with clients' global / regional headquarters, and originate domestic and regional business.
3) Collaborate with global relationship managers in China Branch and relationship managers in responsible Asia offices to enhance business pipeline and expand client base.
4) Take a lead role in domestic and regional client account management through origination, credit, legal,pliance and operational process.
5) Co-work with relationship managers in responsible Asia offices to manage credit portfolio with deep knowledge in clients, relevant industries and markets.
6) Proactivelymunicate with internal stake holders to resolve issues and work to find solutions with clear logic and analysis.
7) Originate & execute industry leading, best-in-class wholesale banking products and solutions and drive sustainable growth (ie, balance sheet and profitability), aligned to the objectives to broaden and deepen the share of wallet in the Group Coverage Client base.
8) To work collaboratively across all Group geographies, delivering One-Mizuho in product solutions and service delivery, and operating on a booking agnostic basis to the extent practicable.
9) Drive growth through existing client relationships and new client acquisitions, inbound referrals into Asia / Develop new-to-bank business relationships.
10) Actively lead Asia efforts to build and develop Chinese MNC business with key focus in penetrating and serving Chinese parented clients / relationships.
11) Engaging with internal APAC colleagues ( product and risk partners etc), with China GRM network, as well as APAC region branch RMs and product partners through good understanding of the drivers of China - Asian corridors.
12) Help formulate value propositions and strategies in collaboration between regional branch RM teams in Asia.
13) Frequent calls on clients to deepen relationships and proactively owns, responds to, uncovers and anticipates future needs, roadblocks or risks and expectations.
14) Introduces solutions to clients in building and strengthening an effective portfolio.
15) Drive a high-performance, Client-centric business culture focused on maximizing cross-border and cross-product opportunities for the Group.
16) Work with product specialists and subject matter experts to structure innovative and customized solutions that meet clients' individual needs.
17) Works closely with internal stakeholders andpliance on the on-boarding and retention of clients, ensuring the appropriate "Know Your Client" (KYC) and otherpliance deliverables are met.
18) Maximizes client experience by proactive sharing markets updates, trend and intelligence.
19) Drives innovation in the solutions we provide clients and further developing our business where necessary and appropriate.
20) Execution of strategic initiatives launched centrally at all levels (Group, Bank, market and APCB).
21) Networks with clients to identify avenues for new business opportunities. Identifies cross-sell opportunities to deepen and increase share of wallet.
22) Administrate the credit relationship of the client, coordinating and supervising the entire process, ensuring the proper application of policies and institutional processes.
23) Ensurespliance with regulatory requirements and Mizuho's policies / guidelines at all time.
24) Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Mizuho's position, its clients and assets, by drivingpliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
25) Proactively drive product execution and team performance across Group geographies, through regular pipeline reviews and year-end performance reviews.
26) Drive a collaborative culture of process improvement and efficiency across the Group, to encourage improvements in key stakeholder functions such as Operations,pliance, Finance, Risk, and Middle Office.
27) Proactively manage the corporate portfolio to ensure alignment with the Bank's Risk Appetite Statement, credit risk policies,pliance policies, and strategic KPI parameters agreed with the Head of China and Global Subsidiary Coverage
28) Support Group Coverage in the development ofprehensive Client plans, by providing input / analysis on targeted Wholesale Banking opportunities across the Client base, and participate in regular Client plan reviews to ensure a culture of discipline and accountability of delivery against plans.
