Reports To : Cybersecurity Platform Lead

This is a hands-on engineering role within the Cybersecurity Platforms & Tools team , a core function supporting the organisation's enterprise-wide security posture. Unlike traditional security teams that operate in siloed or reactive models, this role places you within a forward-leaning, modern cybersecurity structure -integrated, proactive, and deeply embedded in platform reliability and infrastructure-level defence.

You will work alongside cybersecurity architects, technical leads, and infrastructure teams to manage, operationalise, and optimise a comprehensive suite of advanced security solutions across hybrid environments (on-premise and cloud) . The portfolio includes IDS / IPS, PAM, EDR, DLP, IAM / IGA, cloud-native security tools, and next-generation firewalls.

This is not a routine monitoring role-you'll be at the frontline of implementing security-by-design principles , supporting red-teaming and VAPT initiatives, and helping to evolve how cybersecurity enables secure innovation across the organisation.

This role is ideal for engineers who want to move beyond legacy security operations and into a more progressive, platform-centric, and engineering-driven cybersecurity environment .

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the implementation, tuning, and maintenance of cybersecurity tools and platforms, including :

Vulnerability Management (e.g., Tenable, Qualys)

NGFW, EPP / XDR, DLP, NIDS / NIPS

Email Security, PAM, IAM / IGA, DAM

Support the rollout of cybersecurity architecture enhancements across hybrid cloud environments .

Contribute to the automation and integration of security controls within CI / CD pipelines , supporting the shift toward DevSecOps .

Assist in aligning technology implementations with frameworks such as : NIST CSF , MITRE ATT&CK , Cyber Kill Chain , OWASP Top 10

Participate in compliance efforts related to regulatory guidelines including : MAS TRM , MAS Cyber Hygiene , Cybersecurity Act , and CCoP

Perform technical assessments, troubleshoot platform issues, and escalate complex incidents.

Help document technical configurations and participate in security control testing and validation.

Skills & Requirements

2-5 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering or platform operations, ideally within regulated industries.

Hands-on experience with a variety of security tools and platforms.

Familiarity with compliance requirements in financial services (e.g., MAS, TRM).

Basic knowledge of cloud security controls , infrastructure automation, and DevSecOps concepts.

Strong technical troubleshooting and documentation skills.

Collaborative team player with a proactive, detail-oriented approach.
