Job Purpose
As Account Manager, you will be the lead point of contact for all account management matters, build and maintain strong client relationships. Your role is to ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Primary Focus
- Be the client’s principal point of contact within George P. Johnson
- Responsible for ensuring the project team are briefed effectively and efficiently
- Responsible for the profitability of each project within your account
- Be a champion of each client’s business; understanding their products, business priorities / objectives and wider industry sector
- Write and send a statement of work to the client (this can be in collaboration with Integrated Production but it is ultimately your responsibility to ensure it is created, sent and agreed to by the client)
- Generate solutions to our clients’ most pressing business and brand objectives through effective management of GPJ’s resources and solutions
- Responsible for the nurturing, retention, and growth of specifically allocated client accounts. This includes identifying proactive opportunities and delivery of account plans and stretch targets.
- Provide the client with a consultancy service, offering expert knowledge of how the client’s objectives can be realised through the event and brand experience medium. This might require challenging the client’s brief, proactive solutions, competitor analysis and Global industry knowledge.
- Develop account plans to document opportunities within client relationships and define strategies and tactics for realizing them
- Demonstrate account accountability by delivering measurable results and solutions
- Collect and disseminate market and competitive intelligence on an on-going basis
Account Management
Attend client briefing and create an accurate & effective translation in to relevant GPJ creative templateSetting of project KPIs with the client before each and every project and evaluating post projectBuild thorough understanding of clients business internally and externally to inform the “why” as well as the “what” we doProactively present ideas and opportunities to the clientEnsure at ‘kick off’ that the wider agency and client teams are fully alignedManage client expectations with regard to workload deliverables against budgets including clearly stating when a work stream is close to hitting budgeted hoursMonitor process, progress, and results to ensure successful delivery of projectCompile budgets with Integrated Production and track to project end, including client reporting and reconciliation processOversee the creative concept development until creative concept is sold in to clientDeliver all necessary client reporting programmes, including monthly & quarterly updates and support on programme results and financialsProvide timely and accurate notes and agreed next steps after every client meeting / callIdentify and recommend improvements in established client / project processesCapture key learnings from post event de-brief in order to write and lead client de-brief meetingsAdministrative / Management / Financia l
