IT Technician

Duration : 6 months contract (open for renewals)

Onsite working schedule : 5 days at the office

Role Overview : As a Data Center Operations Assembler, you will support the ongoing operations of our data centers. Your tasks will include replacing parts, running cables, populating and depopulating racks, swapping tapes, and other manual operations-related tasks. You will also work as part of a larger, coordinated team.

Key Responsibilities :

• Transfer tools, parts, equipment, and supplies to and from workstations and other areas.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the working environment.
• Assemble / disassemble and populate / depopulate equipment racks.
• Disassemble broken or failed hardware equipment and replace parts as per defined processes using hand and / or power tools.
• Run / install ethernet and fiber optic cables per defined processes.
• Operate barcode scanners and associated software tools.
• Follow detailed instructions and perform other tasks as directed.
• Maintain a positive attitude and work well within a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications :

Stamina : Must be able to exert yourself physically over extended periods, including frequent bending, kneeling, climbing, pushing / pulling, and lifting.

Manual Dexterity : Must be able to perform component-level repairs on equipment.

Comprehension : Must be able to understand and execute frequent oral and written instructions.

Attitude : Must possess a positive attitude and work well within a team-oriented environment.

Environment : Must be comfortable working in a physically demanding environment.

Strength : Medium to heavy materials handling is required, e.g., lifting, pushing / pulling, etc.

Other Qualifications :

High school diploma or 2 years of relevant experience in lieu of education. 3 years of general work experience in a skilled (non-technical) field. Fluency in speaking and writing English.
