Roles & Responsibilities

Your Mission

This is a fully onsite role, focusing on the construction, operation, and optimization of IoT platforms as well as database performance tuning and data optimization for applicatTions. You’ll be tasked with translating business requirements into technical solutions, managing data flows, and maintaining high-performance systems.

What To Expect

Translate business requirements into technical specifications, including data streams, integrations, transformations, databases, data warehouses, and big data.
Devise, deploy, and oversee the IoT platform, including the In-House IoT Platform, PTC Kepware, and PTC ThingWorx.
Collaborate with multiple departments, stakeholders, partners, and external vendors to define the data architecture framework, standards, and principles, including modeling, metadata, and security.
Enhance IoT Docker containers for applications deployed within the private cloud system.
Develop and execute interfaces connecting PLCs to pipelines and optimize data flow performance.
Examine and identify data structural necessities and optimize the performance of databases, ensuring compliance with regulations.
Work closely with Developers, Database Administrators, and Server Engineers to improve both data and IoT system performance.

What You'll Bring

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or relevant disciplines.

3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in IoT platforms and data engineering, including PLC, IoT platform design, and database performance tuning.

Experience with SQL-based database technologies (e.g., MySQL, Oracle, Tibero), and distributed data platforms such as Hadoop, Hive, and Spark.

Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) and database design, with a strong understanding of Application SQL tuning and optimization.

Expertise in IoT technologies, particularly with PLC systems (Siemens), PTC Kepware / ThingWorx, and Linux OS.

Familiarity with SCADA and standard communication protocols (OPC UA, Modbus, Profinet, etc.).

Technical skills in Docker, CI / CD Pipeline, and cloud technologies (IaaS / PaaS).
