Security Architect – MS Azure

Roles & Responsibilities

Menrva Group are looking for an experienced Security Consultant with in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Security products on Azure Cloud. This is a long term project for one of our existing customers in Singapore.

• Design and Strengthen Cloud Security Architecture – Develop, assess, and enhance cloud security frameworks, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory standards (e.g., NIST, CIS, ISO 27001, MAS TRM).
• Microsoft Azure Security Implementation – Deploy and manage Azure security controls, including Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure Security Centre, Azure Policy, Azure RBAC, and Microsoft Sentinel to safeguard cloud environments.
• Identity and Access Management (IAM) – Secure cloud access with Azure Active Directory (Azure AD), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Conditional Access, Privileged Identity Management (PIM), and Just-in-Time (JIT) access to mitigate identity-related threats.
• Network Security and Zero Trust Adoption – Enhance network security by implementing Azure Firewall, Network Security Groups (NSGs), Application Gateways, and a Zero Trust security model to limit attack vectors.
• Threat Detection, Monitoring, and Incident Response – Utilise Azure Sentinel (SIEM), Defender for Cloud, and Microsoft Purview to proactively detect, investigate, and respond to security incidents.
• Compliance and Risk Management – Conduct security audits, risk assessments, and policy enforcement to ensure compliance with industry and regulatory frameworks.
• Security Risk Assessments and Mitigation – Identify and assess potential security risks in IT projects, developing effective mitigation strategies to strengthen cloud security posture.
• Vendor and Stakeholder Management – Manage relationships with cybersecurity vendors, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met while effectively communicating security risks and project updates to stakeholders.
• Cross-Functional Leadership – Collaborate with IT security, cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and business teams to ensure the successful implementation of security initiatives.
• Cybersecurity Project Planning and Governance – Oversee security initiatives, including selecting, deploying, and integrating cybersecurity tools, while managing budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
