Roles & Responsibilities

Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Data Architect to join our team, focusing on banking and financial services. The ideal candidate will collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to define and implement robust data solutions across core banking, risk, compliance, and reporting domains.

Key Responsibilities :

Partner with business and IT teams to gather and analyze data requirements related to banking products, transactions, customers, and reporting.
Design and maintain logical and physical data models supporting operational and analytical workloads.
Translate complex business needs into efficient data structures, both normalized and de-normalized.
Develop and enhance data marts, data warehouses, and integration layers in alignment with enterprise data architecture.
Collaborate with development teams to deploy models and optimize performance for large-scale financial datasets.
Ensure adherence to data governance, quality standards, and metadata management practices.
Create comprehensive documentation including data dictionaries and lineage diagrams for business, audit, and regulatory purposes.
Support initiatives around data lineage, metadata, and data quality to improve transparency and trust.
Provide business support and proactively identify IT-related issues.
Generate and maintain reports, ensuring clear communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related discipline.

7–10 years of experience in data architecture, modeling, or management within the banking or financial services sector.

Strong expertise in designing logical and physical data models for banking, risk, compliance, and analytics.

Proficiency in data modeling tools such as Erwin, PowerDesigner , or equivalent.

Advanced SQL skills with experience managing large, complex financial datasets.

Solid knowledge of relational and dimensional modeling, data warehousing, and integration techniques.

Familiarity with data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK) .

Working knowledge of APAC regulatory compliance standards.

Experience with Collibra (non-development role) is a plus.
