Job descriptionLead and supervise foremen, technicians, and production assistants. Conduct on-the-job training and coach staff for improved performance. Promote a culture of ownership, safety, and accountability. Monitor attendance, approve OT, and optimize manpower allocation. Maintain proper stock levels for parts and consumables. NITEC / Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Min. 3 years in workshop operations; at least 1 year in a supervisory / managerial role. Hands-on understanding and execution of repair workflows : welding, machining, turning, CNC, and hardening. Track record of leading technical teams and improving workshop efficiency. Able to speak both English and Mandarin (to communicate with Chinese-speaking staff).
Key Responsibilities
Job Planning & Execution
- Oversee daily repair job flow and ensure timely completion with minimal errors.
- Assign tasks across departments : welding, CNC machining, turning, milling, hardening, etc.
- Track job progress and resolve operational bottlenecks quickly.
- Implement SOPs and quality control checks (alignment, tolerances, part integrity).
- Collaborate with project managers and update stakeholders regularly.
- Ensure strict compliance with WSH and MOM regulations.
