Job Description
As part of our New Business Underwriting (NBU) team, you will provide underwriting support across various product lines including Life, Accident & Health, Disability Income, and Long-Term Care.
Key Responsibilities
- Underwrite new insurance applications across Life, A&H, Disability Income, and Long-Term Care products.
- Countersign and provide guidance to junior underwriters.
- Offer underwriting support to financial planners via e-booking, phone, email, and walk-ins at the NBU counter.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with distribution channels.
- Ensure achievement of department KPIs.
- Conduct underwriting training for sales and distribution teams.
- Participate in project work, including :
Reviewing underwriting guidelines
Streamlining processes to improve operational efficiency
Proactively manage and mitigate business and compliance risks.Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes.Job Requirements
A degree with at least 5 years' experience in underwriting Life, Accident & Health risks.Candidates without a degree but with relevant underwriting experience or certifications may also be considered.Strong analytical skills and ability to work well under pressure.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.High level of integrity and accountability.Proactive, adaptable, and a strong team player.
