Samsung Electronics Device Solutions is a global leader in Semiconductor industry.
Our regional Sales and Marketing office in Singapore is looking for a talented technical professional to join us as Senior / Field Application Engineer for Technical team. The incumbent will be main contact window with our Headquarters team in Korea for our sales office in Singapore office and ASEAN countries. Incumbent be responsible in providing advisory, technical solutions and leadership to the customers and various stakeholders. Using his / her technical, organizational, and customer knowledge to influence customers and assist them in applying in the products / services to their needs resulting in revenue generation, new business identification and future opportunities.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Communicate and collaborate with various stakeholders to understand and resolve technical and quality related issues. Gather technical requirements / specification from customers
- Provide front-line support to customers.
- Explain and provide details of technical issues to HQ Application team.
Regular visit to develop and enhance relationship with customer
Assist customers during qualification and ensure timely development schedule until MP.Provide pre / post-sales support and technical presentations regarding product strategy and roadmaps, features, industry technology and competitive positioning.Collect customers feedback and provide recommendation to customer for design requirements, product enhancements and capture new product opportunitiesTo provide quality support to regional customersFollow up on quality issues and co-work with Samsung HQ to solve it effectivelyWork with customer to carry out business specific quality initiativesParticipate in QTR / QBRs.
Provide regular quality report and setup meeting with customersExplain failure analysis report to customersManage customer's field failure rate through 3rd party OSV (on site verification) providerFollow up quality issues during new product qualification and manage PCN (Product Change Notification)Relevant Experience & considerations :
At least 5 years' experience in Field Application Engineering / or Technical support Management in Industrial Electronics or Semiconductor / Display industry.Field experience or hands-on practice or knowledge of multi-disciplinary system design and development (systems such as electrical, electronics, computerized, mechanical and / or combination of these)Experience in FA / QA in semiconductor or electronics industry ( preferable in Memory related products)Experiences in customer project design-in (understanding of customers design flow) and follow up in failure analysis issues (from self managing minor problems to co-working on complex issues with HQ team) will be added advantageSkills and Key attributes :
