Job description

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance to ensure the smooth operation of a 24x7 operating data centre, which includes maintenance, repair, and monitoring of critical equipment and systems.
  • Monitor the performance and availability of IT services, including the processing of production jobs and the escalation of incidents related toputer hardware, operating systems, application systems, and data centre facilities.
  • Assist in maintaining data centre security and ensuringpliance with security protocols.
  • Support the reliability, availability, and performance of the event monitoring system to ensure service vendors meet agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and projects aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the data centre operations.

Experience and Skills :

  • Minimum qualification of NITEC or Higher NITEC in IT or related field.
  • At least 1-2 years of relevant experience in data centre operations or IT support.
  • Demonstrated positive attitude and a keen interest in IT.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Ability to adapt to and perform shift duties as required.
  • Relevant certifications such aspTIA IT Fundamentals or Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT) would be advantageous.
